When visiting Blackall, we recommend you visit the Blackall Visitor Information Centre in Shamrock Street in town, where you will find a wide range of information on the local area. Blackall has an extensive and interesting history, culture and glimpses into Australia’s pioneer heritage including the Black Stump, Jackie Howe – legendary shearer and the Blackall Woolscour. Barcoo River Camp offers visitors low cost parking for up to 72 hours; a permit fee can be purchased for only $10.00 from the Visitors Information Centre. Pets on a lead and kept under control are welcome. There is also access to potable water and a dump point.
