Koorda is a small Western Australian town in the north eastern Wheatbelt region and app. 235 kilometres east of Perth and 40 kilometres north of Wyalkatchem at the northeastern end of the Cowcowing Lakes. Koorda is the main town in the Shire of Koorda, and as at the 2016 census Koorda had a population of around 400 people. There is visitor information available at the Koorda Community Resource Centre, 41 Railway Street. Short Term Parking for fully self-contained recreational vehicles (RVs) is available at the Memorial Hall carpark corner Allenby & Birdwood Streets and at the Swimming Pool car park Haig St. There is a 1 night maximum stay at a cost of $5 per night/per van fee payable to Shire of Koorda Office. There is a dump point and potable water at the Koorda Caravan Park, Scott Street, Koorda. A popular time to visit Koorda is in early September when it hosts the annual Koorda Agricultural Show, which brings together past and present Koorda residents, along with a large number of visitors.
