This low cost includes access to a dump point and potable water. Port Huon is a small coastal town located app. 50 minutes south of Hobart and is just north of Geeveston. Port Huon has a small number of houses comprising permanent residents and holiday homes with many dating back to the 1800’s. Port Huon has a rich history and is located alongside the beautiful Huon River. The wharves and jetties found at Port Huon formed an important port for the four million cases of apples which were shipped from this area to Hobart. The RV Friendly Stay Port Huon is provided by the Huon Valley Council at the Regatta Ground (Shipwright’s Point) on the banks of the Huon River. There are toilets and a dump point at this location, and a large grassed area. Please note this location is sloping for meaning that levelling is required. Other forms of camping are permitted at the Shipwright’s Point Campground Port Huon. Pets are OK ik kept on a lead and under control at all times. This site has unpowered sites only.
