Stanley is a popular tourism destination on the North West Coast of Tasmania, close to the towns of Burnie, Smithton and Wynyard. This is a great little RV Friendly stop for fully self-contained vehicles located close to the Stanley Golf Club and within walking distance of the town centre. Camping in cars, tents or vehicles that don’t have water, toilet, shower and cooking facilities is not permitted. Visitors can stay at the free RV Friendly caravan park Stanley for up to 7 nights at a cost of app. AUD $10 per night, or $50 for the full 7 nights. As at the 2016 census, Stanley had a permanent population of fewer than 700 persons. When visiting Stanley, be sure to take the chairlift to the top of The Nut to experience stunning views and explore the quaint village and heritage buildings. Enjoy coffee, breakfast, brunch or dinner at one of the many local cafes and eateries and be sure to enjoy fish and chips from the very well known and popular Hursey Seafood. Pets OK but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
