Triabunna is a rural town in the local government area of Glamorgan–Spring Bay in the South-east LGA region of Tasmania. Triabunna is located app. 90 kilometres north-east of Hobart. Triabunna is home to less than 1000 permanent inhabitants and is home to the start of the Maria Island Ferry. This free stop at Triabunna is for fully self-contained Recreational Vehicles at the rear of the Triabunna Hotel -Tandarra Hotel / Motel. Visitors in self-contained RVs can stay here at no cost for up to 48-hours if you purchase food and drinks at the hotel. All RVs must be fully self-contained to stay here, and have onboard water, toilet, shower, sleeping and cooking facilities. Camping in tents, cars, campervans or other campers that are not fully self-contained is not permitted. Triabunna is close to the larger towns of Orford and Swansea, and a popular stop for tourists travelling from Hobart up Tasmania’s East Coast To Coles Bay, Freycinet National Park, Swansea, Bicheno, Scamander, St Helens and Bay of Fires.
