RV Friendly Parking Wongan Hills Western Australia. Wongan Hills is a small town in the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu, in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. Wongan Hills is located approximately 185 km north of the state capital Perth. RV parking is available for up to 48 hours (2 nights) at the Recreational Grounds next to the Police & citizen Youth Club (PCYC) Building off Ninan Road. Please note there are no facilities, so all vehicles must be fully self-contained and have their own water, toilet, shower, cooking and sleeping facilities. In addition, there is also RV friendly parking at Lake Ninan & The Gap close to Mt O’Brien, but again there are no facilities so you must be in a fully self-contained RV to stay at either location. Cadoux Recreation Ground – Key for facilities is available to pick up from Cadoux Traders or self-contained caravans can park for free. Whilst technically this is a free stop, a $5 dollar donation is requested which can be paid at the Visitor Centre on Wongan Road – we urge people to pay this donation so as to encourage making these stops available at low cost for independent travellers in RVs.
Whilst staying in Wongan Hills or Lake Ninan, we recommend a visit to Mount O’Brien for a picnic while taking in the spectacular views of the area. Dingo Rock is a large rock and fauna reserve with an Aboriginal water hole and if you are there at the right time in early Spring an abundance of wildflowers. If you enjoy Western Australian Wildflowers, be sure to visit Reynoldson’s Reserve and Gathercole Reserve.
